Though it was lucky that haven't make serious casualty accident but this affair was astounded us! After the investigation, we certificate that the several incidents hadn't any direct or indirect cause with Li-charger which made in our company. Then we want to awoke the plane model fans once again that use the Li battery and charger be carefully! The importance of choose Li battery charger: The different pilot and individual flight custom will cause the different degree damage and living time of Li battery .e.g.: bump in flying, flump to ground, arose rub-off the protection cover or temporary power-off and Li battery group's voltage over low cause by over discharge and this similarity event were unavoidable. So, it was impossible to distinguish and avoid the problem by our eyes. The several accident were almost caused by charger, therefore we need to take a checking of Li battery: First Step: It was important to choose a good charger, or will cause the accident. There are two causes after research: 一、Hadn't stop charge when the voltage reach to 8.4 V while the charger isn't cut-off power automatically. 二、Hadn't stop charge when the Li battery group voltage below 6V after checking, so the single cell is damaged and the other one is over charge. The cause mentioned are easy to arose damage of Li battery group i.e. then conduce accident. (damage or explode!) Please purchase charger and battery pack cautiously for decrease and avoid the hidden danger..... If
you accord with above cause or have any question when charge battery, you
should buy a tri-use ammeter to check the voltage of battery before
charge. Second Step: Prepare security protection measure include prevent fire and exploding when you ready to charge; Keep over three meter distance from tinder; Please place battery inside dielectric case and never leave a charging battery unattended to avoid overcharging and the resulting accident;

testing report Let's make a test experiment of the Li battery through install it on the FEDA-D5 mini helicopter before apply to 3D plane. Connect the battery to the charger and plug the charger into a 12V7AH outlet, power on, "power" red light turn on," Charger" indicator light form orange to red after seconds. Voltage is 12.6V,charge current 350Ma(there is quick or low charge switch, we turn on "L")。The indicator light hadn't turn to Green after charging two hours, but charge current still have 250Mah.No patient to wait for because rush to fly! Cameraman, Ready! Go! To screen its flight time. The 7.4v1800Mah(80g) Li battery which the capacity was three times than original Ni-Mh battery (8.4V600Mah,95g) !good effect! It was powerful that we don't feel the 7.4V Li battery weaken then the 8.4V Mh battery and slower accelerate response. Maybe because the Li battery light and little resistance. Haven't find battery become heat by hands after ten minutes uninterrupted flying and the temperature of FEDA engine was lower then the Li powered. Continue flying..... After twenty minutes, the temperature reach to forty degree but haven't a little trend to weaken power! It was dizzy to stare at the lasting flying FEDA plane which drive by " Li Power"! The photographer hadn't patience to continue. Finally, the flight time test was end with failure. Video. Good weather! Let's watch the Mars with super astronomical telescope at night!
